“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
The power of God comes in our vulnerability.
It is no use looking for liberation, freedom from the legislation in the world. Those experts can only at best have an opinion and advise on how best to get along in it.
God has a beautiful intolerance of cultural standards and has only His own standard. He overshadows and convicts us from His place of righteousness whilst at the same time graciously forgiving and holding no lasting judgement over us in this broken world.
None of us are innocent or not guilty of getting life right in our own strength but in His refuge we have already been victorious. There is our freedom.
We, as Christians, have been distracted by the physical needs of others when it is more their spiritual needs that He would have us contend. We have attempted to be people pleasers and He needs people rescuers.
When others know Jesus they are rescued.
As an innocent child has faith and expectation in a good parent being the solution to all life’s needs so we can depend upon Him.
He is the answer to all things.
The power that God brought with His word to create the earth and all in it. That Jesus brought to still storms, to heal sick to raise the dead. Is the power that our words now have the potential of in the transformation in the world.
We are in the image of Christ in the flesh and spirit. We are trusting and in expectation of being who God says we are. We have a duty to not be silent but to speak out what we hear from and know of God.
Christ’s work on the cross was to free us from all condemnation and be the children and people of God who He can now rely upon to make demons and the enemy tremble as the world is reformed to His intention.
We are not the size and power of ourselves but of God who shadows us. The enemy is much smaller and more powerless than we credit him for.
Truth is our warrior and weapon. Truth is love. Truth is liberating.
We fear God more than man when we boldly speak out truth.
The enemy undermines us with cowardice and aversion to rejection or persecution. We are impotent if we want comfort, easy, social lives.
Jesus came that we might have life abundantly.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
We are ready to be the image and reflection of Christ in His fullness. In being so we will see healing and revival.
Where we may want to encapsulate ourselves in our own grief at what we see around us He wants to encompass and press us into Him .
“For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”
My God in me has a solution to all pain. When we step In to Him Christ’s power can flow through us. When we are intentional right here and now to be, if necessary uncomfortable, we can give space to power.
God has plans for each of us to step into in faith.
“Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest.”
We may want to remain in the security of the old but revelation is concealed in faith and in stepping out in it.
Even if we endure seasons of incredible pain, testing, trials and heart ache it depends on the story we make of it in our life journey.
Whether in faith we can thank God still as He will not waste it. Or whether we blind ourselves to the blessing that is hidden in the outcome .
We stand tall and stronger in the shadow that we cannot escape from. Light is cast around from that place that is vulnerable and not hidden. Love grows out of sharing it and darkness is pushed away.
The illustration shows us standing tall, bold and speaking out in faith. Emanating a light that stems from Christ within and without us. The shadow of God encompassing, empowering and strengthening us. The light eliminating and pushing back the darkness.
