“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Our concept of God is being enlarged. God is a Great big God.
We are entering into a time of more with God. We will see things we have never seen before. What was our ceiling is now our floor.
God invites us to move forward, fling wide the doors and gates and let Him come in
“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.”
A time to publicly declare Him in faith and belief to do what only He can do and in so doing to invite others into the same level of faith and expectation.
Just as when Joshua contended for the sun and the moon to stand still and God stopped His divine order until they had victory and won their battle. A battle that was in the natural 5-1 against them apart from that Joshua had already received the word from The Lord that they would be victorious.
“At that time Joshua spoke to the Lord in the day when the Lord gave the Amorites over to the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” And the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry to set for about a whole day.”
We are always invited to be participants not spectators when He moves. He invites us and gives us opportunities to grow and enlarged our faith as we place ourselves into the position of encounter.
We do what we can to put action into the revelation we receive. Just as Joshua started marching forward as soon as he received the word of victory.
A new door open in expectation.
We do what we can do and then God steps in and does what we cannot. He sent the hailstones into the battle.
“And as they fled before Israel, while they were going down the ascent of Beth-horon, the Lord threw down large stones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died because of the hailstones than the sons of Israel killed with the sword.”
In what would appear as a challenge we have faith of victory.
When we believe in a big God where nothing is too small or too big to hold before Him and ask.
When we listen to His word and act obedient to it. When we have belief and faith to focus in God’s size and power and not that of the issue or opposition.
The illustration shows us awakening and lifting our heads to flinging wide the gates and doors to let The King of Glory in. To allow the Holy Spirit to move. To illuminate the way. To bring the light to put out the darkness.
