“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”
The foe is vanquished so remember to enforce the victory we process.
If we have been baptised our repentance already means we are the benefactors of our inheritance of righteousness and we have the values of Christ.
Whilst society expects to change and correct by regulations, laws and being dominated. We are recognising more clearly that Nations have not been changed by such culture values and beliefs.
Our answer is counter cultural. Not by division, fragmenting and dictating politics. Change comes when God’s values are recognised in a culture and from that reformed heart in individuals will come the reformation of Nations.
Corruption in the world has made the church body silent and weakened about the values of God and the kingdom.
Cultures change and laws become obsolete and look foolish. The law becomes an ass that looses the respect. God’s values are always those that have a good outcome throughout the generations.
They will always unite, connect and seek the well being of the least first. Respect and have concern for all.
We are rewarded by having value of purity. There is joy in lives where there are bonds.
Where the experience of the other matters as much to us as our own. Where it is boldly spoken out and we become the salt that arrests the decay.
Enforcing laws are not value changing. Washing culture with the value of ‘not my way but Yours’ enforces victory.
We come to God not by our failure of the Mosaic laws but by our consistency and daily living in the Values of Christ.
Within our own influence and community we can ask of God what it is of His kingdom that is lacking. We can start with ourselves in looking at how I can begin to live out the kingdom way and shift and change lives.
God rewards us by our choices not by messing up.
We can’t make a Nation change. We can’t make the laws change. We can aim to be a church that makes Jesus values visible. We start with ourselves.
We can die to the self that is self processed and live the God created person that He created us to be who would reflect Christ and the kingdom and be the Light on the hill. The light He individually breathed and spoke into us.
Our success in this world has significance in our experience but it cannot be taken into eternity with us. That self status dies and is left behind with our earthly body.
The true self that God created as He breathed into us and as we were knit together is our soul, our being, our purpose, our passion, our part in the eternal kingdom as unchangeable and indestructible as a diamond and reflecting the facets of His love and light.
Our God given success as a son or daughter to Him.
The soul within the spirit that has been embodied for its part to play in this world and which will be given freedom again in its eternal kingdom.
The illustration shows the child of God breathed upon by Light and knitted together in its mother’s womb. Formed with a unique God given purpose to fulfil, indestructible like a diamond emanating light. Birthing that Light into the world in our being. Pushing back more darkness.
Three Scriptures that come to mind:
“by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”Colossians 2:14-15 ESV
“one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives, and he gave gifts to men.””Ephesians 4:6-8 ESV
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”Psalm 139:13-16 ESV
