“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
It is a time to throw off things that hamper us and we find to be weighing down and cumbersome.
It is time to put on what we find light and easy and that frees us to accomplish.
Just as in the scripture we hear David had to throw off Saul’s armour and take only his sling and five stones that he found his own tried and tested way to slay the bears and lions and protect him and accomplish his job using.
His respect for Saul was no way less but he knew where his freedom, power and anointing was.
It is as if God is moving things around and making space for our freedom. Constriction, cluttered weighty may have worked previously but now it impedes.
Formal, prescribed, repetitive, delivery keeping to format and lengthy planning may be too tight and restrictive for the new size and shape of what is to come.
Spontaneous, inclusive collaboration and conversation people powered more than pulpit may invigorate everyone to wake up from being passengers, grow up from being spoon fed, empowered by exercising muscles slack from lack of use.
We are all ambassadors, sons and daughters of God fearfully and wonderfully made with His beauty and purpose within us.
We need to wake up and experience victory in the unique way that we have been equipped and empowered like David. When we experience victory personally we will have power to implement into the world.
With our own infusion of God as church we will be a danger to the world and to the enemy.
We will be energised, focused, intentional and on track with the move of the Holy Spirit.
Those things that He put into us and that we have memories of as being our passions will come forth to the forefront of our being and be revived.
“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”
The grace is on us to do it the way He made us to be and in that way have the victory that will enable us to sow the good seeds to grow for harvest.
“And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!”
Good seeds and good harvests are birthed from the Spirit Life that which we are increasingly been drawn closer into. The mature life that we encounter increasingly.
“If you plant the good seeds of Spirit-life you will reap beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting life of the Spirit.”
To throw off Saul’s armour may make us feel vulnerable in our nakedness but we then put trust in and use what was God’s original intention to equip us with and to submit our trust and strength to being in Him and not ourselves.
Our body being those Intimate lovers of God moving in the freedom and victory that David did with ease in Joy.
The illustration shows the Saul like armour restriction being torn back from the body to liberate Christ and the light that God put within us to shine out and push back the darkness.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”Isaiah 40:31 ESV
“And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!”Galatians 6:9 TPT
“The harvest you reap reveals the seed that you planted. If you plant the corrupt seeds of self-life into this natural realm, you can expect a harvest of corruption. If you plant the good seeds of Spirit-life you will reap beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting life of the Spirit.”Galatians 6:8 TPT
“Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.”Psalm 139: 16. ESV
