“In him was life, and the life was the light of men.”
It is Christ who energies us. Recharges us, casts out fatigue and restores life and A1 functioning.
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.”
Just as the Mitochondria entangles every cell in our bodies as energy and life in it so Christ has to be woven to entangle and merge every part of our spirit to bring life to a body that died with Him at the cross.
“The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,”
We connect with the indwelling presence and it changes our lives. The mutual loving gaze initiated first by God and grace is our energy and life. We learn to rest there and nothing else will ever satisfy. It is the strength, core and foundation of our life.
To become entangled with Jesus here we do have to become disentangled from other things.
There is no strength in death and we have to become cut of from it.
Things that in this world wind us up tightly to restrict us like a shroud or straight jacket of death clothes. Christ calls as He did to Lazarus to come out of what entombs us into His light and presence.
“I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. The cords of death encompassed me; the torrents of destruction assailed me;”
We are called to empty ourselves, purge ourselves of what defiles us. We feel immediately better when we get rid of anything that is upsetting our system internally both in the natural and spiritual.
“who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases,”
We receive a natural spontaneous deliverance and regain to life in all its fullness.
It is when we are undone that we receive our greatest creativity and clarity and nothing else will do. Any limp that we have functioned with in a previous season that may have skewed our walk and stride evaporates as we align to a new rhythm and balance.
“He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.”
Our posture is determined by what we focus on. It has to be directed all upon Him and His horizon. Where His light comes from.
“that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,”
He energises us as individuals and as His church who will bring. “His manifold wisdom” to be known in the world.
“and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,”
The illustration shows Him with the light in Him that is life and that became our light and life too. The light that pushes back the darkness.
