“I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling —that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!”
God is intentional on our focus being on Him. Recognising Him through the hearts eyes of perception of the Holy Spirit.
It necessitates first us stopping what is habit and routine and busy. Instead to rely on Him, His Spirit .
It is Jesus’ call ‘to follow’ first and foremost. Not for us to lead the way.
“And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Sandy Miller was quoted as saying we all tend to get very busy when we are not reliant on the Holy Spirit.
Divine utterances are released when we sit at His feet and listen and get to hear our destination.from that impartation start the building as we awaken to what the Spirit is doing instead of what we planned and scheduled.
We are wine skin obsessed holding past skins up for filling when the reality should be to catch that wine He pours out and allow our skin to mould around that living outpouring.
Our heart would have no function if there were no blood to pump around the body. Life is in the blood.
Adjustments and flexibilities are required all the time to steward what God is outpouring.
Not the reverse to let Him do and fill what we have provided for.
“having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,”
We are to love Him, not only idolise what He can do. In that place of first and foremost loving Him we will be ready for breakout. Ready to move with Him not for Him or against Him.
God initiated not initiated by us. Space allowed not pigeon holed into.
The Creator Spirit is in the moment, creative, spontaneous. He has His hands on us as fluid wet clay being built up as a unique vessel for an exact purpose created for the moment as good.
Not as a pre made vessel pulled off the shelf in the hope it is exactly fit for purpose.
Life changes the flexibility is essential if it is to move with the times. Hot off the potter’s wheel not a ready made early rendition in store from a past season.
Life is manifest in the moment not locked into any fixed format, style, tradition. Momentarily adapted and reframed.
Built up to reach the Capstone, the Head, not down towards foundations. God is always expanding, moving up and out.
Are we awake and alert to discerning and detecting what is subtle change?
He is unpredictable. He is uncontrollable. He is unrestrainable . He is unstoppable.
It becomes us to become lost in Him and allow His life to issue forth from within us.
In total submission and resting at His feet as Mary. Not busy and in control as Martha.
“The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.””
The illustration shows the light of God’s Spirit illuminating and emanating through us pushing back the darkness.
Three Scriptures that come to mind:
“And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.””Matthew 4:19 ESV
“I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling —that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones!”
Ephesians 1:18 TPT
“The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.””Luke 10:41-42 TPT
