“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man’s heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”
Revival is God’s arrival to revive a dying body.
It is unmistakable and it draws people, like a magnet, to Him. There is momentum, there is an urge and relentless pursuit.
It awakens a spiritual response.
The tug of “come away with me” is felt.
“My beloved speaks and says to me: “Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away,”
There is a relentless desire to “seek His face”. “You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”
When we sense that call to draw away it requires the pursuit, the response to lift our eyes into that place as it may be fleeting and far harder to regain than to sustain.
The seeds sown, like in pregnancy, have to be conceived, accommodated and nourished.
We are expert at feeding our flesh and less so our spirit man.
Our heart being drawn to the Lord has a deep hunger in need of satisfying. Jesus’ heart was full of compassion for all He saw with need.
“So when Jesus landed he had a huge crowd waiting for him. Seeing so many people, his heart was deeply moved with compassion toward them, so he healed all the sick who were in the crowd.”
We have become too easily satisfied with church.
Revival is restoring life back to people.
The heart beat impulses from a flat line, back to rhythm by volts of electric from the Holy Spirit.
Closing the gap between us and the Trinity. Restoring a church to that vibrancy and certainty in evidence in Acts. Returning to God’s blueprint and intention from before time to eternity.
“For then you will be seen as innocent, faultless, and pure children of God, even though you live in the midst of a brutal and perverse culture. For you will appear among them as shining lights in the universe,”
The gentle, humbled Jesus who was exalted with the authority, power and worth United with us to bring His same light into the world.
The body of Christ is destined to be the perfection. Beautiful and spotless bride. Alive and perfectly appointed and balanced in all its parts to function in pristine health.
“He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,”
The illustration shows God’s hand reviving the heart beat and rhythm to life, response and health again. Bringing the light that pushes back the darkness.
