“He said, “You have been given a teachable heart to perceive the secret, hidden mysteries of God’s kingdom realm. But to those without a listening heart, my words are merely stories. Even though they have eyes, they are blind to the true meaning of what I say, and even though they listen, they won’t receive full revelation.”
We as believers possess the Holy Spirit who reveals the thoughts and purposes of Christ.
The revelation of the kingdom of God that Jesus taught was not understood by the intellect of men but by those who welcomed His truth.
Humanly speaking no one can understand the mysteries of God without the Holy Spirit.
“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. “
Those who have the Holy Spirit possess the perceptions of Christ’s mind and can implement His purposes on earth.
“But we have the mind of Christ.”
We are simply welcomed back into that first place of relationship as was perceived before time.
The alpha place. The garden place. The dwelling with and in communion with place.
The words come to us that are Spirit born. They are not words of intellect and learning but of now relevance, wisdom and knowledge.
All knowledge throughout all time is accessible in the mind of Christ who is the alpha and omega.
Resting in Christ He reveals His mind to us as breathe.
His breathe transforms us. Releases us and brings a freedom that just requires receiving, no labouring. Hence the words.
“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Liberated we become the encouragers to others to stir up a passion for dwelling in Christ and Him becoming visible in our lives.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Our love for one another will bubble out of this place of abiding in Christ and He in us and people will know. Not because of our works but because of where we rest and abide.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
We fulfil the commands of the new covenant. We know heaven on earth.
The illustration shows love bubbling and exploding forth like air sacs filled with the breathe of life of the Holy Spirit. The light emanating into the world pushing back the darkness.
Five Scriptures that come to mind:
“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”1 Corinthians 2:9-16 ESV
