“but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you who through him are believers in God, who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.”
Immersed in God’s purpose there is Hope.
For God before there was a problem there was a solution. Nothing that we face in this transient world will catch Him unawares!
Even before the foundations of the earth Jesus was committed to die in our place for our sins.
Scripturally we have a purpose to stand strong with hands raised praising and knees ready to keep going in hope. To have no fear, fear comes from the enemy and we have authority to cast it out.
“So be made strong even in your weakness by lifting up your tired hands in prayer and worship. And strengthen your weak knees, for as you keep walking forward on God’s paths all your stumbling ways will be divinely healed!”
God promises that everything that has been lost will be returned to us and it will be in the return of Jesus for His bride
“Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”
In fact the whole of Isaiah speaks of how God will vindicate the world and return life to that of the Garden of favour and closeness, before the temptation.
We have our commission and are relied upon to impart the wisdom we have been given. We have the responsibility to enable the hope of others. Some things that we wait for God to do He has given that job to us to do.
There is delay if He waits and we do not accomplish our mission and purpose.
“Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy. “
Hope filled believers can decree what is hoped for. His released healing also releases His presence.
There is darkness in peoples lives because they do not know anyone, with hope in their heart, who is speaking it out. Or who is walking on the highway of holiness in their praise and presence reflecting that Beauty of God.
“For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch. You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up a signal over the peoples.”
We are instruments to be solutions to problems in a broken world. Sighing shall flee and joy invade the highway wide so no one falls off.
The illustration shows the sacrificial lamb foreknown before the foundation of the world, our hope emanating the Light which pushes back the darkness.
