“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
We desire Jesus in our lives but what does He desire of us? Our priority is to seek the rule and reign of Christ, His Doxa in our lives.
He reveals the life of the kingdom to us and we play our part by role modelling to the world. It is our purpose in the body of Christ to discover that and fulfil it in the fruit we produce.
We listen to media and look around and witness in society much that is applauded that is alien to God’s kingdom. We are called to be light, salt, cities on the hill and a responsibility to change and to reflect Christ’s light.
To be effective instruments to change and make a difference in something much bigger than us. There is a need for each of our parts.
Apart from God we can do nothing. It requires supernatural resources.
God grieves and the world travails awaiting His sons and daughters to be revealed. That’s us. So that His will can be done on earth as it is in heaven.
We can make a difference. He chooses to work in and through us to make a difference. We have a responsibility as God’s chosen people.
Within each of us is the Spirit of the living God. We are anointed as Christ was on earth.
We are not seeking His face to find Him. He has already found us. We seek to do His will in our lives.
He is the vine tender. Jesus is the vine we are the branches with a purpose to bear fruit. Our responsibility to fulfil.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
Fruit is not for our blessing or for other branches. Fruit is for those in the world, who do not know Christ, to gather, to consume and taste and hunger after.
The fruit glorifies the Father who is the vine tender. Our impact is to be so alive we affect those not of the vine. God’s character is being reflected in us. The Doxa of Jesus Christ.
Our Spiritual life impacts both us and others in the world around us. We make a difference to the spread of God’s rule and reign on earth as it is in heaven.
“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
His kingdom is within us. It reigns in us. Christ is within us.
God has enabled us by being in us and therefore we bless the world by allowing Him to work through us by His grace. The kingdom is extended by others being saved.
God’s expansive move will explode like a pent up dam bursting forth and surpass any effect from the coronavirus. God is good,
Together we are the body of Christ. Together we can do this. Together we have impact on the world.
God has divinely commissioned us to be His body on earth. He builds up revelation of Himself to us from glory to glory.
“No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”
We will have boldness and courage to be loving, sensitive, obedient, compassionate, merciful and forgiving, full of grace and a reflection of His Holiness, righteousness and glory.
We cannot reveal to others what is not in us. As negative is removed there is space for positive to fill. Our heart cries out as His for lost souls in hell and not in heaven.
The illustration shows the vine Christ the branch us and the fruit the purpose we have to be desired and consumed by the world and to extend the kingdom. The light emanating to push back the darkness.
