We sense that God is rising to take action over a generation who have become people pleasers, pamperers of culture, followers of self desires, compromisers of biblical truths.
People no longer using Jesus as their plumb line but more an imposter. The deceiver.
The church fighting the battle with an ornamental sword instead of cutting with the two edged one of truth.
There is a beautiful awfulness to God’s holiness.
There is the loving faithfulness of a God who will not tolerate the duplicity, compromising behaviour of His children.
Jesus is the truth. God is radically intolerant of anything that is not Him. God holds us close in love but will sharpen us in the fire or crucible to refine us to pure gold that can shine. Not fools gold that is cosmetic and will blacken.
There will be no sin, no darkness, no shadow of turning. Distinct black and white. Distinct evil and good. Not wish, washy, grey, Luke warm. Out of muddy water. No more grey zone. Marking us with light.
Everything that is not of Him will be burnt up.
God is drawing a line. Setting us apart. Separating. He is severing us, detaching us, divorcing us, disconnecting us, dividing us, loosing us, freeing us from everything that is not Him.
There is now more than ever the need for us to host the discerning Holy Spirit who convicts us of that which is of God
God is a jealous God. If you are not with Him you are against Him.
“If you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you harm and consume you, after having done you good.”
Our obedience is radical but we have all of heavens resources surrounding us. We have to step across the line and be Unmistakably In Him.
God is positioning us to be in the light, of the light, loyal to Him separated from our past.
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
Old garments cannot be attached to new without renting apart. New wine cannot be put into old wine skins without them bursting apart.
“No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. If he does, the patch tears away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear is made. And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the wine will burst the skins—and the wine is destroyed, and so are the skins. But new wine is for fresh wineskins.”
The fire of God purifies and makes us new. Branding with the Holy Spirit to reflect light.
The illustration shows us seen by God’s eye and purified in the fire to shine like pure gold and emanate Christ’s light into the world and push back the darkness.
