“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”—”
We are feeling as if we are groping around in a darkroom and we have no idea where even the walls are! God has put us into this place where Jesus, the Holy Spirit are saying ‘take tight hold of my hand and I will lead you.’
That is our only safe secure and sure option to step onward without fear but only faith.
It is a place of forgetting the devastation of the dismantling of the old. Letting it fall to the ground.
“See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”
God is building a new which in no way resembles the old.
“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old.”
The new must come out of the blue print He is releasing and is like stepping into the unknown with no understanding or concept.
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”
We may even find ourselves ridiculed and seen as foolish as was Noah faithfully building his ark in the desert but obedient to God’s instruction regardless of any understanding of why.
There is an excitement and anticipation of being those to pioneer unchartered territory. To explore and map and create the language of something beyond our present wisdom and understanding.
“O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and lay your foundations with sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of agate, your gates of carbuncles, and all your wall of precious stones. All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
On the edge, the tipping over point. Just in the knowledge that the old design is to go.
The new is becoming available. There is a wiping clear of the former season. The former cannot be redecorated to make new it needs replacing.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
There is something of the future beyond our time frame seen in the spiritual, in the eternal, in God’s realm but not yet in ours, on the brink of becoming revealed.
We move from generation to generation. From glory to glory. The eternal is passed along for the “such a time as this” moments of now.
Now being the elusive mystery because it is only a mathematically calculated factor with so many physical variables that tickle the scientific and philosophically minded individuals to discovering what God has known since before time began.
Human thinking is to build with a mind towards legacy but God’s is with the Christ mind of revelation.
Even in this season where some of us are feeling an unprecedented bombardment of revelation it only upgrades us to our needs for now at this point and goes to expand our concept of the magnitude of God knowing the beginning from the end and every woven implication in the story.
We experience a continual need to resolve and undo some of our previous thought processes to keep in step with the accelerating Holy Spirit.
Feeling possibly the magnitude that Zerubbabel did to rebuild the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, as we rebuild our church.
“and to overthrow the throne of kingdoms. I am about to destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations, and overthrow the chariots and their riders. And the horses and their riders shall go down, every one by the sword of his brother. On that day, declares the Lord of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel my servant, the son of Shealtiel, declares the Lord, and make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the Lord of hosts.”
The requisite is that of being consumed with zeal. Jesus exhibited the same zeal in His overturning of the tables in the temple. A line has to be drawn and a seal of approval set upon what is to be.
We are marked with that seal and zeal to catch up and keep momentum with a God moving fast. We have to keep in step with the Spirit and run at His pace.
There is no time for lip service only. We fix our eyes on Jesus, on the unseen realm and lay down our lives to build His purposes.
Both in the OT and the NT so many scriptures are woven together and reveal principals and reality in Heaven’s mindset of the kingdom.
We are waking up to real reality and true truth because it is being relayed by the mind of Christ.
Therefore we can live in the reality of the kingdom of heaven here on earth and look out of time in the natural to time in the eternal.
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:”
His time is in our hearts if we discern it. Nothing is new to God. For us we are in a season of many firsts!
It is a time to allow Him to shape us uniquely into the living stones. Our diversity and individuality unites us into a beautiful, all purposeful body.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Nor must we be narrow minded in our thinking that as church we all have to conform to one view and look identical. Our beauty is in how we fit together with perfection. Of course never rebellious because we all come from the same head, cornerstone Jesus and have the mind of Christ.
The illustration shows us as the perfectly unique stones moulded in unity to form the new body of the church emanating light that pushes back the darkness.
