BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS. 479 ( Less is Greater, Greater is less .)

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”

Allow Him into our midst.

God pursues us. God reveals Himself simply. Now is the time for us to yield.

To hold ourselves together is to withhold ourselves from Him. To be vulnerable in our asking. To be abandoned in our giving of ourselves to Him. To communicate with Him.To not ignore Him.

We can be so typical of the elder brother in the Prodigal son scenario. Feeling under valued, underwhelmed, unrewarded.

He is there. He gives us all. We already possess the entire inheritance and wealth of His blessing.

Yet, unnecessarily we are feeling apart and separated. Feeling to be in a place of decomposing and death instead of life.

A place of death is the feeling of the need to earn favour. Productivity and business is not living.

Fruitfulness and life comes from being passive in the vine.

Encounter in that place makes us known. In that place He will never say the devastating words, “ I never knew you”.

We do everything for love of Him and knowing our dependence on Him. We could not exist without Him. He loves us. It is not a reward but a fact.

Holding ourselves together keeps us apart. First and foremost from God but equally from one another. Now more than ever is a time to be vulnerable.

That honesty points to more encounter for us and through us. Intimacy and positioned permanently in Him accesses our revelation of who He is and who we are.

The grace of this is that God tells us a million times and still has patience and is willing to say it again. We need no other pacifier than Him.

The Holy Spirit releases much into us and the ether. For us to reach out and pull into our own heart. We are in a critical hour of choice making . Of making our voices heard of the need to remove any other pacifier that has made us feel in control, at peace and quiet.

Just as the success to scoring goals is on the offence and not the defence. It is time to run where the offence is positioned.

Keep the ball rolling at speed, with all the wingers setting up the strike in their partnering with and expectancy of where the game is moving despite not knowing the exact means to the outcome.

Sensing the pace when it slacks and when it lifts off as it confuses the defence into wrong-footing.

There is no boredom or predictability that will win this match.

Instead agitation and allowing God’s drama to unfold in new, fresh unpredictable ways.

The zigzagging with the Holy Spirit lead wins the day over anything that has become stale, predictable and perfected for entertainment, performance.

Ready meals no longer suffice. The divine, master chef has to have His way.

What emerges in His glory may well have a cost as there is a face off with the religious spirit and structures. Where it is dethroned and disempowered and the religiosity and control and the wildness of the Holy Spirit propels the remnant forwards into glory mode.

We pray for the Holy Spirit to be the only Spirit in our church body.

The illustration shows the hot air balloon, representative of the Holy Spirit filled body, moving as God wills emanating light which pushes back the darkness.

Three Scriptures that come to mind:

“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.”‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:19‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.””‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:38‬ ‭ESV‬‬
