“At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”
God has a place for all generations. We have to discern where we sit when God is bringing forth a younger generation, not to stand on our shoulders but to lift us up from beneath.
Every wine skin will be filled with wine. Wine that builds and blesses or destroys. We must align well in this multigenerational era .
“You shall speak to them this word: ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, “Every jar shall be filled with wine.”’ And they will say to you, ‘Do we not indeed know that every jar will be filled with wine?’’
We need help to know when to shift from a seat we occupy that is no longer ours. To make space for one another. Where to reposition to best to expand from glory to glory.
We require the mind set of Christ and not to rely upon our own expectations, preferences and prejudices.
Removing pain and offence and returning to compassion. Love and sacrifice. Return to a unity where we push up the older and pull up the younger.
The eternal perspective of our identity. The mind set of Christ, the insight of God, the wisdom and revelation of the Holy Spirit. We take off looking for what has been familiar and put on and partner with what we perceive as new.
The anointing of the new has been in existence but the keys to unlock are released now as we step into a new depth.
There is a scriptural president for it to be intergenerational possessing and building that brings strength and flexibility instead of a rigidity that becomes stuck and static.
“You multiplied their children as the stars of heaven, and you brought them into the land that you had told their fathers to enter and possess. So the descendants went in and possessed the land, and you subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hand, with their kings and the peoples of the land, that they might do with them as they would.”
Our boldness arises from the promise of a release of empowerment that is three fold.
The Samson like spiritual strength. The speed to run like Elijah. The perseverance of Caleb.
Now we are sent multitudes of angels. “The number of mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand; I heard their number.”
Now is a taking hold of Jesus. Not the baby in the manger.
Not the broken man on the cross. He did not stay in the grave. He now roars as the lion of Judah.
He comes to divide good from evil. “I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled!”
His desire is revolutionary. His call remains for us to follow.
To restore joy to His people. To restore zeal for His kingdom. To restore daily walking with God. To restore our delight in Love. To restore our passion for life.
To be transformed into His image and likeness we must be changed. Become His dwelling place and home.
The illustration shows Christ as the emanating light that pushes back the darkness and the multitudes of angels possessing and reforming us in all generations.
Five Scriptures that come to mind:
