“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Blessing runs throughout scripture. Our blessings towards others are not idle words and thoughts but they have great significance.
Blessings bring generational alignment with God. He spoke them over Abraham in the beginning.
“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonours you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
It is God’s pleasure that we equally bless Him when we praise and adore Him.
There is a reciprocal response that in blessing Him we release His blessing over us.
Blessings are spoken out constantly in many of the psalms. Who having sung out such positive blessing could not be uplifted from being brought low?
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
Mind sets are changed.
We have the faith that we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Jesus Christ.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,”
In that place of faith and trust we are strengthened and sustained.
We choose to step into our blessings. We choose to move into deeper waters from the shallow and to become saturated.
From that place of saturation blessings are showered down upon us like gold and they washing over us cause us to shine like gold and so become a blessing to others.
We must know what it is to receive our blessings and to be a blessing to others.
We do not have to strive only know how to receive and give.
As we learn that unconscious, spiritual, pivotal dance of receiving from the Lord to turn and pass it on to others so our capacity increases and the force and power increase.
Our prayer to be jet washed and cleaned of everything upon us that is not good within our hearts and mouths likewise resets us from where we have cursed and not loved.
We then have the power to transform, heal and deliver. Scripture says our tongue has the power of life or death and that we speak what comes from our hearts.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”
We can step into the place and speak out blessings that release the destiny and purpose that God has. Scripture says they brought the children for Jesus to bless and their faith was that blessing was important.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. “So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them.”
What we think pray and speak has power. We can bless even those who curse us and turn the tables in their thinking.
“ love your enemies”
Blessed people bless people. There are so many blessings stored in heaven that we have not accessed yet.
It is God’s joy to bless.
“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
The illustration shows the rainbow of hope and blessing. Blessings showering upon us as gold and flowing off also into the world. Filled with the spectrum of the HolySpirit, emanating Light that pushes back the darkness.
