“Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.”
Our God of provision and generosity will always give more. In this time of the Holy Spirit ready to pour down upon us we can ask for more.
With that hope before us longing and regret recede behind.
It is scriptural to honour the Spirit always and therefore a requisite for our hope and for His welcome into our hearts to make His dwelling place there.
“And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”
This is the time for any with a broken, bitter, crumbling, weakened, hardened heart for it to be laid upon the altar.To be submitted to the surgery that will transform, heal, restructure, reconnect, renew and allow it to beat and burn with life.
Good fruit is produced by those with hearts connected to the vine. Who hear and obey.
“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
Stone hearts have to be made flesh and softened to be sensitive to the Lord.
“They made their hearts diamond-hard lest they should hear the law and the words that the Lord of hosts had sent by his Spirit through the former prophets. Therefore great anger came from the Lord of hosts.”
In circumcising our hearts they are made pure. Saved by the sprinkling of the blood, cleansed by the sprinkling of water and healed by the sprinkling of oil.
In this place we can become a body with a pure heart.A body that is not “me” generated but “we”. A body that cares less for the self and more for the other.
Blessed are the pure in heart. They can steward the kingdom well as the Holy Spirit delivers His truth.
A family who hear each other’s hearts not just their opinions.Who incubate relationship and build as one for all. The good news is for all people. The response we make exposes to God and others the state of our heart.
“And the destiny of your child is this: he will be laid down as a miracle sign for the downfall and resurrection of many in Israel. Many will oppose this sign, but it will expose to all the innermost thoughts of their hearts before God.”
The illustration shows us reaching to feel Christ’s heart to fashion our own upon to lay upon the altar to be a pure sacrifice laid down for Him. Emanating His light to push back the darkness.
