“But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
The enemy tries to weary us and wear us down and our battle is to resist feelings of offence, rejection or pain in our circumstances.
Handing our burdens over to Jesus and trusting Him to deal with them and resting in the Glory we bathe in in the Holy Spirit as Stephen did as he was stoned and martyred.
In this posture we remain safe. Even in circumstances that have no safety.
We know our dwelling place and to whom we belong and this displaces the enemies plan as he is made ineffectual.
Equally it is a danger if anyone begins to dwell in and serve hurt, pain and injustice. It can become as a false god we serve steeling our focus from us in resentment and bitterness.
Push them aside and focus on God alone. Then we cut ourselves apart from and separate ourselves from hurts and wounds.
The battle is not ours it is the Lord’s.
God has greater glory and empowerment when we submit to His judgement and authority and not our own.
“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.”
It is our responsibility to deal with our own behaviour and responses not others. We honour God when we forgive and choose to be free from offence, bitterness and any thought of revenge.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
The promised land held all the provision and safety but needed to be stepped into. Just as the kingdom and heaven require us to step in and allow ourselves to live in that place dwelt in by God.
The Trinity flow in the unity of each other travelling and flowing as one. Each always choosing the other and in so doing, demonstrating love and peace.
We placed within our families of blood, church or community are called and purposed to do likewise.
We choose to believe and see Christ in each other. He is our identity. We are God’s children we are not victims.
We align ourselves as we give all to God. Yes we have boundaries but no barriers. We pull in to our family and are bound together and together halt the enemies attack to tear us apart in opposition. To get us isolated as an easier target.
We expose and ask forgiveness for where we may have spoken death and not life. Caused pain and not healing. Repenting means to turn away from because we have discerned the lenses, mirrors and smoke screens of distortion that the enemy has lured us by.
It is illuminated by the Holy Spirit, by Christ as they bring wisdom and we then speak the words of healing and restoration back into our families.
“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,”
It is our prayer that the enemy is turned around. His darkness extinguished by light. The words we speak out have power just as that of creation when the Word spoke everything into ‘being’
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.”
The illustration shows us in praise and worship, bathed in the Spirit and illuminating the giant deceptions of the enemy to disempower his ploys in the world. Light emanating to push back the darkness.
