“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it?”
It is time to ask our Father to catch us up to Him in heaven as He beckons us to ‘come up here.’
He longs to reveal more to us that we might reveal more in the world of Him.
His heart aches for being lonely and for more to become as friends, in relationship with Him.
He, Jesus, is the desire and what our hearts long for as individuals as Nations whether we know it or whether it is unconsciously.
We have in our souls a homing instinct, stronger than that of a prize homing pigeon, that will eventually click into returning us from our prodigal journey in a foreign land.
He is breaking through with the fresh air of the Holy Spirit. Pervading with an atmosphere around us so that we shall be on the inside of the Spirit as He is in the inside of us.
The resource equipping us here on earth to take us higher.
Where we perceive life being lived increasingly outside His Will and discern the plumb line that it is untrue to and empowering the prayers to off set the discrepancy.
Where we witness a chess board in need of young, radical, ever renewing pieces that are necessary to lead afresh and without corruption.
Where we observe mobilisation again in what has been stagnant and stuck resulting in a fresh harvesting of souls to expansion again in places of shrivelling and shrinkage.
Churches changed from places of self preservation or complaisance to places of powerful explosions of faith and the fear of God.
“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!”
Back to a first love of divine passion for Jesus and seeking His presence above all else. A return to joy.
“So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing. And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil, that they might keep his statutes and observe his laws. Praise the Lord!”
We sense having been confined and waiting and now being in the place where the ceiling bursts and what it held back pours out limitlessly, unstoppable.
The barrier that restricted our sights, vision and exposure removed. A new level accessed.
No longer feeling encapsulated, restricted to breathe, entombed by what we had once felt to be a safe shelter.
Instead fanned into flame by the restorative wind of the Spirit. Ablaze with the purpose we were homing toward and like a tinderbox to all that surrounds.
The Caxton and trumpet that brings the slumbering to life. A harvest that keeps on yielding into eternity.
Our treasures laid up in heaven and not on earth.
The illustration shows an explosion from the confinement of church into the atmosphere of breathing in the Spirit. The light emanating from the body to push back the darkness.
Three Scriptures that come to mind:
“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements—surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it?” Job 38:4-5 ESV
“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!” Psalm 105:1 ESV
“So he brought his people out with joy, his chosen ones with singing. And he gave them the lands of the nations, and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil, that they might keep his statutes and observe his laws. Praise the Lord!” Psalm 105:43-45 ESV
