BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS. 519. ( Less is Greater, Greater is less .)

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

God keeps His promise.

God is with us wherever we are. We may seek Him but only to find He is here and always has been.

We no longer just seek Him or follow Him. We abide in Him and He in us.

We in fact have no such thing as a wilderness because He will meet us where we are.

We recognise that God will feed us where we are. Just as He provided the manna and water in the desert whilst His children sought the promised land so He does for us in our physical needs and spiritual as we pilgrimage in this world.

It may have been our question often. Are you there?

It really should never be but rather. What are You doing now? So that we can bring ourselves into alignment with what is on His heart and where He is moving.

In this post pandemic season of having followed Jesus through unfamiliar territory for what seems a long time we will find that He will be bountiful and desire to, through us His body, take especial concern over the tired and hungry crowds.

Just as we read in scripture He will take what we have and multiply it to generously to satisfy our needs. Send no one away to fend for themselves.

” But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.”

When Elijah was in need of food God sent him to the widow about to run out and they were all sustained.

“For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.’” And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days.”

We often establish what we have faith for. If we ask for little we will establish little.

God can answer specific prayers and His glory is seen.

Vague, expansive, non specific requests are less perceived. It is in the expectancy and looking for that we distinguish His bountiful giving and answers to prayer.

He has the desire to build His kingdom, His house. He gives not for us to hoard and amass wealth and pride but for it to be given and apportioned fairly so that no one has need.

To establish a kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, where there is no hardship and wanting.

The illustration shows us abiding in Christ so that as His body we can emanate the light in the world that pushes back the darkness.

Three Scriptures that come to mind:

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”” ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“When he went ashore he saw a great crowd, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. And he began to teach them many things. And when it grew late, his disciples came to him and said, “This is a desolate place, and the hour is now late. Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.” But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭6:34-37‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.’” And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days.” ‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭17:14-15‬ ‭ESV
