“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
The strength of a church is made up by the people who are part of engaging with His Will.
By His Holy Spirit He shows us what we are praying for.
We can then cheer it on in confidence and faith that our prayers will align and be answered.
His word will not return empty. Prophesy releases the word of God. Our cooperation is required for it to be fulfilled.
What God sees from His realm He transfers for us to see and unite in. Our uniting is through prayer and He is showing us how to travail as if in labour and bring to birth and to life.
Our encounter and unifying is done more from a stance of pacing than of being sedentary.
Of coordinating and participating in the breathing and the climatic pushing out from the spiritual realm into the natural realm.
It becomes necessary for the Holy Spirit to get hold of us. For us to be in awe of what God is doing, to unite in it and so increase the intensity of how we participate in it.
God wants to encounter us and take us further to be more fervent and effective .
God has need of us to seek Him with all our heart and to seek the lost with the same intent.
Seeking Him is in our DNA and he intends us to seek the lost with the same focus, diligence and energy.
It is mirroring His heart.
Every lost sheep is important to the Shepherd.
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?”
His desire is for us all to to be brought back and restored to His original intention and salvation. To knowing God.
We as believers are called to open our arms to be overwhelmed and embrace His heart.
Not only do we see His face in this encounter but we know His heart and it breaks ours.
Our hearts break as one, together. From that place of broken only can love be. From that place only can we accomplish God’s will.
His love compels us to not be silent. To tell others of what He has done and who He is.
When we are broken open we can then release who He is to permeate and leak out over others.
Love leads to obedience, to a desire to do only what God wants us to do. He puts it on our hearts and we want what He wants and we let Jesus have His way and take over.
Allow Him to determine and schedule our lives and invest our time. To gladly lose control and striving, to instead rest in Him. To acknowledge our total dependency on Him.
The illustration shows the heart exposed and United with Christ’s breaking us in the Spirit and allowing Christ to pour out as Light that saves and emanates pushing back the darkness.
Two Scriptures that come to mind:
