“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
We read in John that “the word was with God and was God “ and we relate this to Jesus.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
These were words spoken to Jeremiah when he was but a child and in OT times but spoken by the ‘word of the Lord’. They were words from Jesus relating to what would be, His Prophesy.
Jeremiah was reluctant to be a prophet called to speak out God’s words. However God gives grace and supernatural abilities to do whatever it is He calls us to. He is with us and transfers heaven into our life.
Jeremiah has been called the weeping prophet because it seemed he was able to tap into the grieving side of the Lord. Apparently it has been discovered that the cave he wept in was under the hill that later Jesus died on the cross on, a place of weeping.
Being called to be a prophet, the greatest one being John The Baptist, the Lord can put His words into our mouth to speak out.
“Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, “Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.”
Or sometimes our ears to repeat or our eyes to see as a vision or sight with significance or our mind to know or to be wrestled with to bring revelation.
God can use very ordinary everyday images to convey supernatural mystery and knowledge to for-warn symbolically, Spiritually, what will be in the natural.
“And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” And I said, “I see an almond branch.”
The word almond has a translation that means accelerated, ready to happen now, fulfilment. It is a now word when it means that what God has foretold is ready in time to come about and happen.
The second time Jeremiah was called to look and say what he saw, and again God was relaying profound words through an ordinary detail of what was happening in the natural as a pot boiling up and then over on one side.
“The word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling pot, facing away from the north.”
God relies on the Holy Spirit within us to assist in the revelation and interpretation and our cooperation.
The unveiling and unfolding grows.
God moves from fulfilment to fulfilment, glory to glory, revelation to revelation. There is meaning and depth beyond all measure that we tap into as prophesy unfolds.
“In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
News and media has become a false prophet that the world can listen to and it bodes darkness.
Governments can be attacked equally by the demonic when they peddle fear and wrong principles instead of hope and all encompassing standards.
Heaven and kingdom seekers have life answers of hope for the world’s sickness and helplessness.
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a desire fulfilled is a tree of life.”
There is a sense that Jesus is again accelerating time to speed up our action and responses.
In a time of uncertainty and difficulty. To bring healing, wholeness, restoration and revival.
“through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
It is we the church, Ekklesia, who carry this healing, knowledge and Light.
We do not bow to darkness or hopelessness but instead stand with Christ as Light.
“he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.”
We pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation. God, Christ and the Holy Spirit are wisdom and revelation.
“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him,”
God is giving us opportunities and our response to the promises of God are “Yes and Amen”.
The illustration shows us as part of the tree of life, Jesus, emanating Light that pushes back the darkness.
