“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,”
God is on no human side. He is on His side. Neither He or Jesus take sides.
Their command is to pray for our neighbour and pray for our enemy. We have to partner with the eternal perspective.
With the divine order. With the kingdom mindset. Fully convicted by the Holy Spirit. Fully in fear of the Lord.
“And Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?” And he said, “No; but I am the commander of the army of the Lord. Now I have come.” And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshipped “
When Paul and Silas were in prison they did not waste prayer, as we may be tempted, asking for release. Instead they joined with the move of the Holy Spirit and praised and sang and from that place God did far more than release them.
“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s bonds were unfastened.”
It is from a place of knowledge of God that we have a vision and perspective. We are in a co-labouring place with God or not. The place in His Will and favour.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”
It is only with our eyes fixed upon Jesus that our faith can be perfected and that we don’t divert inadvertently and start building other thrones that we later find ourselves sitting upon but not Him.
“looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
We have to fully know God to both act, build and pray right. Not inadvertently against. We have to be fully entwined and connected with Him to impulsively be His voice, feet and image.
“for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’”
We uploaded in Him and He downloaded in us. We encompass the Holy Spirit of God.
He has ideas, solutions, answers, responses to every crisis we or the world find ourselves in.
When we are in submission to Him we find that when He moves we go in the same direction and not at a tangent.
We do not respond as the world would but as He would. Not manifesting human but God’s dominion.
We must recall we are not fighting against flesh and blood but principalities. Our weapons are not carnal but for breaking down strongholds.
“But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,”
We misrepresent God if we do not look like, speak like and act like Him.
We are not at a distance, He is in us and we in Him and we are being transformed to His likeness and therefore should reflect Him.
“for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’’
As Humans we are wired to unite behind a common enemy. Coming up higher to see with God’s perspective we have perhaps to switch our enemies and weapons .
We perceive who and what He is fighting against and pick up spiritual weaponry to combat the unseen realm, Satan and his political principalities.
We do not have prejudices and preference, we have the mind of Christ.
We must release a kingdom breakthrough and not empower another wave of destruction. War presents an opportunity to relearn the fear of God and our choice of response.
It is a biblical truth that we obey the one we fear. Any other fear brings about the opposing response as Job discovered.
“For the thing that I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me.”
Sovereignly God has chosen us for this hour with a purpose to expand and steward His kingdom.
When we partner with the eternal perspective we bring divine order and kingdom mindset.
The illustration shows hands in prayer aligning with God’s perspective. Emanating light that pushes back the darkness.
