“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
People do not want to know about God, they want to hear Him and know Him.
It is sometimes in the emergencies, in the crisis in life that we get back to the essence of what really matters.
It is there that we are ready to open the door to Jesus who faithfully persists to knock.
When we open it to pull Him into the empty shell of our life we discover that the more we pull the more He unravels and reveals. Pours Himself into us to put life back into what had become a vacuum.
Jesus makes Himself irresistible. We hunger for more. Now is a time for us corporately to hunger for more.
He knows how to get behind every brick of the shell we have built around ourselves to resist exposure to who we really are.
We are moved when we encounter Him and know that He can love us when we do not even love ourselves.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Jesus knows the depth of us and our darkest secrets in our hearts and He cares and loves His whole being into us speaking truth to bring us the peace and joy and purpose that we were created for.
The tipping point is when we succumb to the knowledge of His revelation and cannot resist sharing that faith and testimony.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. It removes the fear of man.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.”
If we fear man we fear everything. If we fear God we fear nothing.
To fear God we become hungry for Him. Can never be filled enough and always desiring more.
We as a body have been satisfied with just snacking.
We have to get hungry and consumed with the desire for more. Gluttonous for more to feed our spirit, to fill our otherwise empty shell.
Heavens first point of contact in the world is focused in each of us and our relationship with Christ.
It is the Holy Spirit’s work within us.
Sadly people have seen Him misused and abused in the form of religion in some churches and they have settled for having no use at all. Their life becomes an empty shell of what it has potential and purpose for.
True encounter is denied if we perceive the Holy Spirit as a streaker naked of the whole armour but the helmet. It is the whole armour the Holy Spirit equips us with.
“Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,”
We are not just the spectators in life but the participators just as we see in the early church in Acts.
Revelation sets us free from faith based on information. We hear the voice not as just sheep but as sons and daughters.
We have a need now for corporate encounter with the Holy Spirit. It is our privilege to introduce everyone to Him.
The illustration shows our need to let Jesus into the empty shell of our life in this world. He pushes back the dark clouds that surround us letting the light of the Holy Spirit touch and restore us.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27 ESV
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.” Proverbs 9:10 ESV
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,”.
