“Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.”
Shackleton’s vessel the Endurance has recently been relocated this year.
One of his sayings as an explorer was: ‘Let us put the footprint of courage into the stirrups of patience.’
Endurance is like a sign for us. In eternity our trials here are momentary.
War may not be an option we would choose but we have limitations on what our ‘fiery trials’ may be.
Our perspective, however, we have some options and control over if our sights are fixed on God and His glory.
God is about discrediting world powers and systems, curses and ideologies.
For us it may seem easier to be rebellious rather than revolutionary but the kingdom is counter culture.
It is for us to breakout from nominal and average and be anchored in the Rock and supernaturally aligned and filled with oil ready to burn brighter to expose what is in the darkness.
The keys for thriving will be to not be fearful but instead in our straightening up, lifting our heads, guarding our hearts and remaining alert enough to pray into what God is doing.
It will be a season of two sides of the coin. On the one treacherous and the other glorious. We have to remain stable in the extremes that are to come.
Our security is only found in God. Rooted and grounded in Christ. Encouraged always by the truths of the Holy Spirit.
Be prepared and ready for the long haul of the enemy trying to wear us down.
“people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.”
We have to be willing to pay the price of being ready with the oil and not shaken by what surrounds us in the natural and the news.
“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.”
The remedy will be in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ being revealed to many resulting in Life. Our shock in the natural will be symbolically like the shock paddles jerking and restoring life back into the body.
The resurrected Jesus said fear not and breathed His Spirit into His followers. Our answer is for more of the Holy Spirit guidance.
“Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus did not just want us to pray for the sick He wanted us to heal the sick, raise the dead and do greater things than He had done which sounds incredible without our maturing into the knowledge that it is Him in us still doing.
Our understanding of Jesus principles like multiplication, increase, expansion. Of power released going from glory to glory. Of us standing firm to be reformed, transformed. Stirring always for more, going forth, reaping the harvest.
The enemy contends for death. Wars and violence and to curtail and derail the harvest.
We are reminded not to be deceived by him but to have the mind of Christ.
To speak out and contend for life, for a greater harvest and the kingdom of heaven here on earth.
The illustration shows war, death and darknesses in contention with peace life and light. Light pushing back the darkness.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:

“Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” John 20:21-22 ESV
