BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS. 598 . ( Less is Greater, Greater is less .)

“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”

Truth and integrity are key to this time.

They bring a sweetness and a palatability to what we need to swallow and digest as healthy. We are malnourished if we limit our diet to the choices we like only. There are foods that are essential to our development.

In the natural a bulimic will perhaps binge eat but without the intention of allowing the food to equip and strengthen the body to be fit for purpose but only for a self serving pleasure.

Health and maturity stem from those who eat for nourishment and maturity.

Spiritual health and maturity develops as we become the hearers and doers of the word, the truth.

We are stronger united as a family and not as a lone figure.

There is a supernatural provision that God makes available like the oil and the flour that the widow supplied when the lone figure of Elijah left the Brooke Cherith  and God’s provision there and went to Zarephath.

“For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.’’

Our hospitality precedes the miracles and wonders. We are not designed to deal with life and ‘stuff’ on our own but our pressure needs us to unite as one and be together.

We each need what each other carries. It is not all about us for ourselves but as bodies, communities, nations and globally. We mature into our mission and purpose together.

We always need more. The path or food that got us here will not get us on to the next truth. We always need more.

Asking for more is pleasing to God.

The more that is entrusted to us the more responsibility we have before us. God restores us always to carry glory thus requiring repentance and willingness to clean up to be purified, burnt and refined.

The Holy Spirit deserves nothing less than our best perfection to tarry and make his home within.

We eat with and share in His goodness in life now it is not only awaited in our destiny after death.

“I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!”

This is how the goodness of the Lord can look look like our death, like us being crucified.

Jesus died for us to die. Jesus lives for us to live. God’s continual work within us.

Solomon was sought out for his wisdom because others perceived how it came from God.

He walked in the Spirit until his moral demise that pulled the kingdom apart in two. The Spirit left him.

We must lean on God’s understanding not upon our own. This navigates us safely through a world of deception.

The Holy Spirit is our first call of defence. His prompts give our senses warning of right and wrong, good and evil.

He was poured out for us at Pentecost thousands of years ago for us to use now in the same way as the early church in Acts 2 and onwards used.

There have always been critical times in our History that have been the cause of people in desperation to call out afresh on God as their only hope.

God keeps His promises and there have been visitations and hope restored.

We must not miss this visitation but be hungry for The Holy Spirit to provide good food that we will not vomit out but be nourished and strengthened by, and to be propelled onwards in maturity towards our fullness in Jesus Christ.

The illustration shows us crucified to self and therefore alive in Christ and His Holy Spirit dwells within us giving us maturity and wisdom, discerning and power. Light emanating to push back the darkness.

Three Scriptures that come to mind :

“For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.” Hebrews‬ ‭5:12-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, ‘The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth.’”” 1 Kings‬ ‭17:14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!” Psalm‬ ‭27:13‬ ‭ESV‬‬
