BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS. 641. ( Less is Greater, Greater is less .)

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

Covid was a warning.

The ‘writing on the wall’ for what comes next.

God demands a response from His people.

Our choice in the nation was to go into hiding as instructed by lockdown. We obeyed the political, governmental, world command. The begged question for us people of faith is did we obey God in getting close and seeking Him in prayer?

Walking in obedience of His statutes and seeking him is our liberation from captivity and there is a sense of a limited time, it is the eleventh hour to redeem and turn around His displeasure.

“And as for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, doing according to all that I have commanded you and keeping my statutes and my rules, then I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man to rule Israel.’”

There is like a time bomb ticking if we do not hear and heed.

We can fill stadiums with joyous anticipation with sports fixtures in the world but our jealous Gods wants us to fill stadiums with joyous anticipation of meeting and participating in His promises and glory.

A revival of turning again to God. The power comes from our “yes” in the secret place. From that yes He will set the stage differently for each of us as He knows our nature.

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.”

We have to be a voice unafraid of speaking out the gospel and the righteous way. To not bow down to all the fear that is rife which the enemy stirs up to rob us of truth and peace.  Worship in the darkest hours brings light and revelation alive.

Where many of the population are bible ignorant, illiterate the move of the Holy Spirit can bring conviction instead.

We have so much to hand on to the next generation it is worth the fight to free them of the confusion and assault of the world and darkness, to bring them Jesus and the kingdom of light.

Those born in the 2000s, called Gen Z, are our hope and must not be lost. Whenever the enemy comes in like a flood God raises the standards. Reality and truth need bringing in to the situation.

A church that tries only to be cool and relevant and blend into popular can loose it’s salt.  Relevance is key but not popularity.

Jesus was controversial.

Our role is not to defend the church and try and make it look good attempting to be popular.

“preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,”

Our role is to follow Jesus . It is the truth that sets us free. A purpose to make wrong things right. We cannot pervert the promise of what God promises. We must with Him expose what is not from Him. We must take a stand and prepare a way.

“who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let not the rebellious exalt themselves.”

No better to preach freedom than those recovering from captivity. Their relevance is undeniable.

The illustration shows Christ veiled behind the worlds darkness and pestilence outbreak of Covid. His eyes visible to those seeking His face that emanates the light that pushes back the darkness.

Four Scriptures that come to mind:

“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And as for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, doing according to all that I have commanded you and keeping my statutes and my rules, then I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man to rule Israel.’’ 2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:17-18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,”. 2 Timothy‬ ‭4:2-3‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you.” Psalm‬ ‭51:12-13‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations— let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah”. Psalm‬ ‭66:7‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The song           Amen.                            Holy Trinity Brompton
