“Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God.”
God has chosen and commissioned us and here we are in this hour feeling we are still waiting and have many uncertainties and beginning possibly to question what authority we have.
An hour where media bombards us with fears of crisis, lacks, disasters and hardship.
We have to recognise the gift we have received, the mantle we have been robed in, the promise and hope that we carry and boldly speak and give it out.
What little have we in our hands that He desires to use and multiply and bless with?
There may well be a waiting time between being placed in a position of authority and it becoming visibly acknowledged.
In the natural the Queen was placed into her role as her father the King died but it was not officially acknowledged until she was robed and crowned at her coronation. The she assumed her authority and exercised it.
It has the same feel of us being clothed in robes of power as we wait He strengthens us and makes us ready.
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being,”
Now we hear the call to wake up and be on high alert and tuned in for action.
“Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God.”
There is a sense to finish what is unfinished. We have to bless that which is unfinished and therefore what remains with all our authority.
Bring life and strengthen what remains and overtly bring what is His supernatural power to a place where the enemy is not hiding the occult practices and merchandise which once was on the back streets and is now infiltrating the prime outlets.
God has all in control and, unlike man, is not fearful of what the media perpetually stirs up into escalating frenzy.
We must believe God and not the media and make it our opportunity. Wake up and see what we have and what we can do with it. What we don’t have has no consequence.
God is good.
God wants to move in a community that is under high attack in the spiritual realm. Sin thrives in secrecy and He desires to throw a light upon it to expose it. We in His authority are light.
The cross was about salvation and eradicating sin not managing sin.
When Jesus is our central desire we Love people but also speak out truth and know what to define and defend. He modelled ‘Not My will but Thy will be done.’
God knows the worst in each of us and yet He chooses to love the best.
The illustration shows us being shaken to wake up and step into the authority that has been placed upon us to bring light to emanate and push back the darkness.
