“He (satan)shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. But the court shall sit in judgment, and his dominion shall be taken away, to be consumed and destroyed to the end. And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; His kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.’”
God’s desire is to have us subject to His timing, His higher view, His dominion, His kingdom.
Only He can turn hearts around and soften them in our hard, stubborn hearts.
If we ask God what we, Christians, look like in the spirit compared to what the enemy looks like He would show us full of life, strong, power filled, lion like and unintimidated.
We are Christ filled and with authority. The enemy would be a sorry pitiful weak powerless worm by comparison, to be crushed under foot.
Yet the world partners and allows him to wreak havoc.
It is God who is control and who can change times and seasons. Brings revelation and light.
“He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him.”
The measure of what we receive is set first by what comes out of our mouths.
‘Life and death is in the power of my mouth.’
We must make the decree, proclaim what will be and not be passive or worst still negative.
What comes into our lives is by a measurement of what comes out of our mouths.
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”
We have what we speak. Words are covenants and agreements a partnership.
He comes upon the praise of His people.
We speak and decree our allegiance
“I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
“I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.”
We are not to be defined by where we have been but by where we are going.
We do not just survive in where we are but move on to live in abundance in the new life. We may not have walked there before but Jesus has.
Peter’s vision of Christ being for Jew and Gentile and a new concept of what was and wasn’t acceptable. Was a first in a new wisdom and knowledge of how God was changing a season and concept for His purposes.
“The next day, as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray. And he became hungry and wanted something to eat, but while they were preparing it, he fell into a trance”
Like John’s vision of the revelation of Christ and the Holy Spirit and the Church. Come seemingly out of nowhere. They are new firsts coming out of nowhere.
They precede encountering and revelation of what God is doing as He extends His hand out.
We have to enter in where we don’t know where we are going. We are all on a level playing field and require faith and flexibility.
We require Space and room to expand.
Hope comes from looking at His face. Being led where His arm leads. Knowing and speaking into what we have trust and faith in. Praising Him and sensing His closeness. His timing. His transition.
Knowing that as things come and go He is our solidarity and foundation.
We do not perhaps know yet but our eyes are on Him for our solution.
We don’t fake it in the pregnant pause we wait for it and only then in its being do we know.
The illustration shows the mouth speaking into what shall be or not be. Light emanating to push back the darkness.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. But the court shall sit in judgment, and his dominion shall be taken away, to be consumed and destroyed to the end. And the kingdom and the dominion and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High; his kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.’” Daniel 7:25-27 ESV
