“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
Jesus honours each of us. We have worth and identity. We are His precious possessions. He gives us a crown that we in turn might lay it at His feet.
The sovereignty of God is that every time we think about Him it is because He has nudged us and therefore He deserves our praises and adoration all the more.
God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him. Our joy is His glory.
“Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.”
We go into His presence empty so that we come out to go into the world full.
The world is hungry for consistency, righteousness and a sense of being a known identity of worth and not a worthless number. Love in action for the other and not the self.
We have been made a royal priesthood representative of Christ whose image we bear. We have His power, His presence and promise to be present.
“Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.”
We have allowed vacuum and space to be filled by the enemy in culture and need to step in and not allow others to rob us of our relevance and ability to change an atmosphere to the life, peace and joy that we carry.
Jesus said we have the authority, the power to change people and nations.
What has been delegated to us means we can take the kingdom by force and our presence has to be made known in this time.
Otherwise we are sensing time but acting as if we are clocks with no mechanisms. Neither having the ability to tell the time or sound the alarm.
The sense is strong to wake up and open doors. Let life in where the enemy has been tolling the death bell.
Where we have been passive and fruitless it is time to build thrones of praise.
Speak out what we hear Him saying and celebrate restoring the royal favour we are already clothed in.
What is seen in the spirit is the reality. What we see in the nation and the world is the mirage.
We already wear the ring, robe, sandals and have the party prepared to fill us with joy.
We are a family with an omnipotent Father speaking authority into being.
“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate.”
The illustration shows the time in God’s hands calling us out of the darkness into the light to ring the alarm and announce to the world. Emanating light that pushes back the darkness.
