“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
We all have the capacity to commune with God. We are born of the Holy Spirit.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
There is not a moment that God does not want to be with us. It doesn’t matter where we are or what we are doing.
“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.’’
He is already face to face and present and before we ask a question He knows it and answers.
“Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.”
God encounters and reveals Himself through the Spirit. The more sensitised we become to how the more we receive.
We commune with God’s voice in more ways than just audibly. His creativity in communicating is limitless.
We have the joy of embarking on a treasure hunt of discovery seeking His voice and presence.
He doesn’t hide wisdom from us but for us to discover.
“Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.”
We learn to listen without restrictions and become those communing constantly with Him. We perceive Him in all our layers of senses and emotions.
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
God provokes us and sows a seed that engages and invites us deeper into encounter. He can speak without opening His mouth.
We can hear recognise, know and understand His voice however it is delivered. Discern and follow His guidance
“To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.”
Jesus’ food was to do the Will of His Father.
“But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you do not know about.” Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.”
God’s provision of fresh bread every day for us is more than food it is His revelation and presence and His will made known.
“‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’’
We have our gratitude, faith and thanksgiving daily that He wants to commune, give and provide.
We can speak out that positivity in our lives of generosity, abundance and overflow.
God’s voice speaks to us constantly and is our food. We just have to tune in to realise that we need never speak out of lack and curse ourselves by aligning with the enemy instead of the Lord.
God wants to talk to us and He uniquely uses the way for each of us that by experience we learn to tune in to.
His voice is our daily bread. We know His voice.
The illustration shows opened hands He to give and us to receive the bread of life daily. Communion to and fro, face to face in the Spirit in the presence. Light emanating to push back the darkness.
