“I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,”
For a long period we have all been suffering from indecisive choices. A sense of having no idea what and how to choose but there seems a shift to the sense of now is the time to make choices and that those choices have potential to switch on reverberating power that extends far further than ourselves.
Decisions we make now may dictate what we live in later. They are critical. They set new paths, the way doors open or close and other knock on effects.
“Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.”
There is a profound ripple effect relative to our decisions and walking with the Holy Spirit.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
He does not give us the wide horizon view of the landscape before us but He does illuminate our feet and enable us to make the wise choices as to where to step and place our feet.
He promises to lead us but not by showing us the whole journey.
If we have felt lost and disoriented in the landscape now is the time to focus on the near and have clarity in our vision and decision making. Our power is in the immediate, obedient choice making not the planned action of plan mapping but deciding as we move along.
We can be unplugged from all that has been but without disappointment. Jesus wants to increase our expectation of His provision.
Be separated from what our own egos have driven and instead become hope, a sign and wonder of what is to come as He unveils and reveals it. Our responsibility is to everyone and everywhere not just ourselves.
Jesus can be trapped in us unless we realise this and allow Him to break out. Every choice starts a ripple action and has consequences.
Jesus wants to work in and through us.
The illustration shows His hand over us as we make choices that reverberate, ripple and swirl and encompass far more than ourselves in their power. Light emanating to push back the darkness.
