BREAKOUT POSITIVE THOUGHTS. 692. ( Less is Greater, Greater is less)

“The Lord told Moses to get up early the next morning and say to the king: The Lord God of the Hebrews commands you to let his people go, so they can worship him!”

God desires our worship. God is a jealous God.

It is an interesting thought of what we are prepared to sacrifice in our worship.

Abraham was prepared to sacrifice all he had, as his son Isaac, on God’s request.

“Some years later God decided to test Abraham, so he spoke to him. Abraham answered, “Here I am, Lord.” The Lord said, “Go get Isaac, your only son, the one you dearly love! Take him to the land of Moriah, and I will show you a mountain where you must sacrifice him to me on the fires of an altar.””

In a season of scarcity how much do we offer. We discover that we hold on too tightly to somethings in our lives.

Daily we are challenged.

God asks for something that is precious to us. Like our time or something that we value as a measure of our success or the whole of us, a complete giving of ourselves to be set apart for Him.

Unless we dethrone other idols we may contaminate our worship with our ways and sense of entitlement and are not sacrificing.

It is not His will but ours.

We can especially be guilty of worshipping our preferred music instead of Him. That makes our worship more about us than Him.

Where is the sacrifice in our preference and comfort? God says follow me as He takes us to the edge that requires a new commitment.

The Spirit of God is moving and requires us to follow Him. Discover fresh revelation of His greatness and majesty above what we have become over familiar with.

We need to be extended to a new sound and place. Giving to Him transforms us. There is an exchange that takes place when our offering is from our heart for Him not ourselves. We get off our own throne and relocate.

God sometimes wants to pull us up by the roots with a firm grip removing us and we are wise not to resist. The Spirit has a more fertile place to plant us in but we rebel against the lost comfort.

Our trust is challenged. It is interesting for each of us to be made aware of what individually God is putting His finger upon.

Are we willing to sacrifice it for what He is doing?

We focus on His presence and hopefully are willing as Mary was to pour out our alabaster jar of expensive oil as our all to bless Him and keep no wealth for ourselves. He is all we desire.

We then, like her, would equally carry His fragrance away with us after our worship. Carrying it to others to set others free.

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”

Worship in the Spirit goes out from us to God but it is like sonar and bounces back and into us lifting us higher.

If our lifestyle is worship we can go deeper and higher to the place we can see Him and He restores on the crest of our praise.

The illustration shows the finger of God pointing out our individual thing of sacrifice and worship. Emanating light that pushes back the darkness.
