“You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness beyond your companions.””
All the complexities can be pushed aside if we come to God as little children.
Receiving Him simply with child like faith and knowing we need to be transformed into the image of Jesus. Have His joy and laughter in our lives.
We have been and are in a time of shaking and uncertainty.
“For thus says the Lord of hosts: Yet once more, in a little while, I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land. And I will shake all nations, so that the treasures of all nations shall come in, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord 6of hosts.”
We are participants as in an army not an audience in what is now.
This time is not one of an end but of a new beginning. We are part of God’s solution and part of His glory to come.
Eternity is in our hearts. People are unknowingly hungry for Jesus. Desperate for a rock that is unshakable when everything else is moving.
Jesus knocks on the front door and the enemy on the back whilst we must not remain too idle or sleepy to be bothered to get up and give welcome and access to the master. We have to wake and jump into action readily. Throw open doors and windows and let light in to dispense with the darkness which cannot exist in its presence.
By being humble before God all other will be shown up to be futile and pathetic in His presence. God’s covenant is unbreakable.
“if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
The battle is the Lord’s not ours but we influence consequences. God’s Holy Spirit supplies us with the oil, the flame, the voice, the light.
Whilst the world economises on light and heating and food our God has promised to provide and in faith our churches should be party to the opposite and open for all to come in and whilst in for there to be opportunities to hear the word and to be welcomed and hospitable towards and shown love.
Turn injustice around, bring correction, make proclamations and model true praise and worship and transformative prayers of miracles and wonders that really host God’s glory here on earth as it is in heaven.
The illustration shows an army of transformed children of God awake and ready to welcome, host, reach out to and be the solution and resources the world is hungry for. The kingdom of heaven modelled here on earth and the light emanating to push back the darkness.
