“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven. At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.””
We appear at the moment as multitudes of willing people but who are shaken and battle weary of what is going on in the world.
To recall that our journey has actually started at the finish when we recall that Jesus has already accomplished the victory is a powerful thought to bring life and strength back into our hearts.
There is life in the blood.
Just as an unborn child is nourished, sustained and cleansed from all that is flowing too and fro the umbilical cord connection in the natural so are we by remaining connected to the Godhead where the flow brings nourishment and cleanses removing impurity.
The fresh spiritual blood from Him brings life from heaven essential for our zeal and effectiveness. There is a unifying power holding us fast in any storm in a season of hurricanes on earth.
We remain standing in the wind and not uprooted. Remain connected to all we need and able to expend what we don’t.
Able to move forward and not get left behind.
Our warning being not to reject.
“See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven.”
Any disciplining we endure is the evidence of the care, protection and love bestowed upon us.
“It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?”
The scripture reference to our being shaken again both on earth and heaven is significant in ensuring only the kingdom will ultimately remain.
“At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”
Which is where we have to remain grounded and rooted in the spiritual in heaven.
The invisible more real than the visible.
Rooted in Christ. We remain connected as if by a healthy functioning umbilical cord.
“Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,”
The illustration shows us in the spirit connected to Christ as an infant by its umbilical cord for nourishment and cleansing from heaven. Light emanating to push back the darkness.
