“You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And the light [of God’s favour] will shine upon your ways.”
God’s decrees are sovereign and unchangeable.
He can in a moment bring it into being and yet He has chosen to draw us in to partner with Him as He procreates the future and determines it.
Some things don’t shift and change because we have not come to the place of partnering with God and this is how He has intended it to be.
How we mature and develop along our journey has multiple significance in how we pray and what faith we have in our prayer being powerfully answered.
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us].”
God is strengthening us into a place of fearlessness. Those in the world who are not prepared to be phased, overwhelmed or subjected to what the media bombards daily as fear but those excited to see what God is about to do.
“For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].”
Those rising up in faith to see God’s glory happen.
We humble ourselves ready to receive. God opposes the proud who believe they have power to solve. Humility is freedom. Our decree spoken out loud is that:
“We are more than conquerors. “
“We have a spirit of power and love.”
The promise is that those words will not come back empty or void. They are our spiritual missiles.
We are not looking for praise and reward it is Jesus face we seek not the crown He bestows.
There is a difference between the prayer of our salvation to get us to heaven and the prayer to bring heaven here.
When we live in our decrees we establish them to become our being.
“To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
The illustration shows our decrees spoken out from God’s word are our spiritual missiles to combat the enemy. Light emanating to push back the darkness.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
