“eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
We have to disconnect and reconnect.
Upgrade hearts to hold a different glory.
God is set upon pouring out His Spirit without measure.
Revealing Himself as King and demonstrating His majesty, with a different weight to that of shepherd, healer, saviour or friend.
He can only rest in knitted stones together, relationally connected.
Lacking in sharing, hospitality and family being pruned out.
We’re being manoeuvred in the spirit. Wheels within wheels connected to operate with precision, in timing and interconnectedness that in some ways is uncomfortable.
Our choice is to let loose past pain and be be none offended. Learn a new rhythm.
Modern society has been gradually loosing social connection being distracted and isolated in others company.
Preferring technology and remote connection. Preferring not to be relationally present.
In danger of becoming numbed and feeling no empathy and compassion.
Disappointment is perpetuated when comparison, competition and performance drives us and undervalues our authentic identity.
“For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”—”
The Holy Spirit is preparing the soil in us. Softening it to enable it to absorb the rain. The water has to be received not allowed to run off.
It is not all about ‘my way’, ‘my preference’ our opening up to revering the spirit of God and each other.
Reconnecting is our precursor to flourishing. Now we struggle to feel we are known.
The moment we encounter Jesus face to face we sense coming home and being known.
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.”
We reconnect.
“Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me.”
The illustration shows God creating us in our mothers womb, connected as He writes our name in the palm of His hand. His light emanating to push back the darkness.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
