“Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?””
We are in a time of being called to be alert, wake up and step up individually and corporately. To be bold and brave as Esther where her conviction was such that she stepped out saying “if I perish I perish”.
“Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.””
Small seeds of annoyance can grow to choke out seeds we want to establish and we become stuck. To move forward we have to remove those obstacles that we are in bondage with and keep us stuck in one place.
The areas that we are in bondage with will captivate others too unless dealt with. What does not come from God’s word and heart and has come from misconstrued thinking.
We have to break free from wrong connections. Often great breakthroughs come from great sacrifices.
The Holy Spirit convicts us and where deliverance might be necessary and if there is displacement of how to replace with good.
Our positioning requires being that of being emptied to cleanse and then to be filled with good so that bad does not settle in more firmly for a second time.
“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.””
There is a seismic shift necessary to destroy the kingdom of darkness.
When we are in alignment with God we will not be taken out or hurt with the uprooting and sweeping out.
Accidents only happen when we are in poor alignment, holding belief in misconceptions or being undisciplined.
We have to ensure we are increasingly of the capacity of purity to God’s word and standard to bear the increased weight of the kingdom glory. Vigilant to the signs of what is going on.
None of us are above needing to need God’s word as a basic.
Basics are not basic they are rich and allow depth. We need to familiarise ourselves with that which once gripped us in wonder and awe.
That which we once highlighted in His text can make us blind to what else is there and we missed at the time. There is value in everything that both convicts and challenges us.
Increasing freedom comes from increasing revelation. Jesus said “My words are Spirit and life. “
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.”
The enemy is a liar and deceiver and his first words were “did God really say?”
We cannot answer that question if we do not know what God does say.

The enemy even misquoted scripture in his attempt to tempt Jesus. We have to discern when words are taken out of context.
Scripture is the language of God’s heart. We have to allow God to establish present truth. Establish His body of church is in every way different to the world.
Our expectations must be in the governance of the Lord not the world. We lack nothing He is our good shepherd. A big part of the shepherd’s role was warfare defending the flock from the bears and wolves. He keeps us safe.
The illustration shows the head of the enemy serpent as liar and deceiver. His head is put under our feet to trample when we rest in Christ our Good shepherd and decree psalm 23 as our belief.
