“Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?”
Only by seeking God’s solutions and purposes do we pray into the right solution. We have no side in war other than God’s.
God backed men who allowed Him to deal with people according to His plan.
To in the midst of whatever to still be able to decree and see harvest.
Our weapons are not of this world or carnal but those used in spiritual warfare accessed in prayer. Decreeing harvest and binding deception. What to bless and what to deny.
Our swords are put away between each other but our need is to disarm principalities.
It often takes seeing something horrific before we turn to run to Jesus. God is willing to drive his people to Himself.
The enemy overplays his hand as he authors confusion, chaos and death.
Ultimately it brings about differentiation where we see from God’s perspective.
Jesus is the way.
Anything that discredits Jesus, is anti Jesus is deception our testimonies counter this deception we have to bring a tsunami of fresh new testimonies to bring in a harvest.
Just like at Pentecost thousands came to salvation because of Peter’s famous testimony. It opened a door to the growth of the church. We tell to spot light Jesus not ourselves.
“And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is for you and your children and for all who are far away [including the Gentiles], as many as the Lord our God calls to Himself.” And Peter solemnly testified and continued to admonish and urge them with many more words, saying, “Be saved from this crooked and unjust generation!” So then, those who accepted his message were baptized; and on that day about 3,000 souls were added [to the body of believers].”
The illustration shows the HolySpirit as our discerning warfare. Our interpreter of God’s heart in all situations. Light emanating to push back the darkness.
Two Scripture that come to mind:
“Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?” Joshua 5:13-14 NIV
