“You are jealous and covet [what others have] and your lust goes unfulfilled; so you murder. You are envious and cannot obtain [the object of your envy]; so you fight and battle. You do not have because you do not ask [it of God]. You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires.”
Prophesy is not enough. Hearing and knowing what is on God’s heart and sharing it is insufficient. It has to become fulfilled and manifest not left suspending. The parachutes to bring it into being are in prayer and interceding. Where we embody and ground on earth the hope of visible signs of receiving what we ask for because our prayers have been generated from God and not ourselves.
God invites us to intercede to bring His plans from heaven to earth to be manifest so that we see God on the move.
We use our own oil to light our own power of prayer. We cannot borrow another’s as successfully as having prepared our own.
We partner and activate promises with our prayer defeating darkness with their light instead of leaving promises suspended and powerless or aborted.
We limit God by not stewarding His word well. Faith comes in the substance of things seen and hoped for. The sense of longing and hunger bridges gaps.
We dream in a place of hope and allow that to form and shape in a gestation period where the word is felt and grows and carried and imagined into the future of happening and becoming substance.
As hope grows we realise in the impossibility as it grows beyond our own capacity.
This is where God fills the gap when our prayer allows Him to intervene.
God wants to do and can but it is important to Him that we encounter on the journey.
He has not called us to be passive but engaged and connected and in relationship with the Father.
Jesus says ask and it shall be given.
“Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you.”
We have access to withdraw daily. We have the means in prayer to change the spiritual atmosphere. We are the foundation builders for the next generation. We are those focused and ignited by Jesus.
Our potential is to be in Him and know what He wants without asking Him.
Hope causes us to go beyond our human capacity in our intimacy and unity.
The illustration shows hearing God’s voice intentionally to take His word and allow it to inspire our prayer to align with His purpose and our journey. To emanate light that pushes back the darkness.
