“Let joy be your continual feast. Make your life a prayer. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. Never restrain or put out the fire of the Holy Spirit.”
The darker our cloud the more important and powerful is our praise.
To give thanks in every situation.
Here on earth is our only opportunity to show our trust to the Lord.
Here on earth is our only opportunity to sacrifice our situation to God in praise.
Our praise will be at no cost in eternity.
In heaven all things will be perfect, no pain, no loss, no sickness.
Now is when we can show true honour by never misusing our moments of pain, fear, disappointment or sorrow.
These are the times to become most exuberant in praise.
If, as it says in the psalm, God is seated on high on our praise by deduction who is seated on our despair and melancholy?
Giving thanks and praise in everything is a God given key to depression and our mental health status.
We cannot avoid pain in this world we can only let faith and rejoicing lift us upon high in closeness to Christ’s presence.
Our continuous prayer keeping us connected.
No off button when enflamed by our proximity to the Holy Spirit within us.
The vision of the hot air balloon solidifies for me the abstract concept of my faith.
The purity, peace, freedom of that elevated place with Christ. Lifted above the distractions and chaos in the world.
Being carried not by our own striving but by air, wind, breathe as with the Holy Spirit.
The flame burning purifying, heating air to make it lighter and hence to rise. Just as we are lifted higher to journey on in faith as we become engulfed in becoming more enlightened in mind, body and soul.
The oxygen for the flame our own worship. Praise and rejoicing.
The lighter our load the higher we are released to soar. Casting out our burdens in penitence, doubt, stress, worry, pride, self reliance, hates, being unforgiving.
The tether rope anchoring us to the world untied and so releasing us.
The canopy of the balloon much like the tabernacle inflated and by the glory of Gods presence, intimacy and wisdom preceding and carrying us forward. Filled with an unseen realm of power and purpose.
The illustration shows the hot air balloon coloured by the spectrum as a spiritual realm. Lifted by the flame of praise and air of the Holy Spirit carried by the wind of the Spirit. The atmosphere and darkness pushed back by the light.
Two Scriptures that come to mind:
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit.”1 Thessalonians 5:16-19 ESV
“Yet I know that you are most holy; it’s indisputable. You are God-Enthroned, surrounded with songs, living among the shouts of praise of your princely people.”Psalms 22:3 TPT
The song You are Worthy of My Praise. Bethel
