How do we move forwards?
It is God’s desire for us to move forwards as a perfect organisation perfect body of people.
He desires us to be a whole, well body confidently moving towards not in retreat.
To be a whole, well body not the walking wounded emerging from trauma.
To be an already healed body who will not perpetuate any of the outcomes of former pains.
To be the body that emulates a perfect Jesus standard in our actions, power, strength.
God is intent on setting us free from not only the pains of our recent traumas but also our historic pains because these can influence how we negatively respond to others.
His desire is for us to be whole not broken .
It was not the body of retreating disciples at the trauma of the crucifixion but the confident post Pentecost apostles of Acts 5 that He desires.
Equipped to face what lies ahead. Confident in the strength of the counsellor Isaiah prophesied.
The wellness of dependency on Jesus centred advancement.
That church body will be so attractive to whoever witnesses it because of its promise to heal the pain of the lost, the broken, the hurting.
Jesus says “Come to Me”
“Come to me, all who Labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.””
Trauma is the result of a moment of feeling unsafe strong enough to paralyse or prohibit progressing forward.
The enemy plan would relish that being stuck to the past because it would shut down the future.
Psychiatrist predict many will succumb to what they are calling a new Post Covid Stress Disorder.
God’s identification for our future is not stuck in pain but freed healed released in joy and at peace.
God does not desire us to be fearful or angry to the point of not daring to move on, leave behind.
It is not His desire to have us stuck in a place of being fearful to socialise and unite again.
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
The illustration shows the liberation of the one living in the strength of the Lord. Becoming the light that pushes back all darkness.
