“For as he thinks within himself, so is he. He will grudgingly say, “Go ahead and eat all you want,” but in his heart he resents the fact that he has to pay for your meal.”
What is hidden to visibility can matter more regarding what power and authority we hold.
It matters more on who you are than who you appear.
There has to be agreement between what is within and without. Inner transformation will reflect authenticity. Surface image if only superficial and a performance will be identifiably insincere.
The climate to prevail will follow a storm and the atmosphere will be refreshed and a wellness felt because of it instead of a heavy malaise.
There is a failure if we do not meet Jesus in the storm and find we are first on our feet to go in the direction that He is going. He rescues us.
“He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters. He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me.”
No one is obsolete but changed as we emerge and are liberated as we pass on for generations but also, in letting go, we have an open hand to take up the new and make room for new strategies.
We must not be wanting to build what is outdated.
As the Lord rains out the new season we still continue to ask for more for provision for growth. We continue always to contend for more.
“Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.”
God’s generosity is always more and above. He provides abundance to be pressed down and overflowing in all things.
We are destined to become the mighty oaks to provide stability and refuge.
“the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.”
The illustration shows the visibility of the darker shadow side of our being versus the light open side. Power and authority emanating in the light that pushes back the darkness.
Four Scriptures that come to mind:
“For as he thinks within himself, so is he. He will grudgingly say, “Go ahead and eat all you want,” but in his heart he resents the fact that he has to pay for your meal.” Proverbs 23:7 TPT
“He sent from on high, he took me; he drew me out of many waters. He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me.” Psalm 18:16-19 ESV
“Ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain, from the Lord who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field.” Zechariah 10:1 ESV
“to grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified. They shall build up the ancient ruins; they shall raise up the former devastations; they shall repair the ruined cities, the devastations of many generations.” Isaiah 61:3-4 ESV
