When God gives us a sense of a time to shift in mindset it is time to draw close and align our hearts to His because the currency and measuring rod will have changed and the new cannot be measured in the same way.
It would be akin to using a yard stick after metric when the mindset was all in metres to cut our cloth by.
New landscapes call for updates on our sat nav devises; the terrain and the access has changed.
Our minds have need to be washed and cleared and reset.
To become places that will not contain, entrap, confine and imprison the Holy Spirit but instead be a vessel that holds and releases Him.
It is like coming to the end of the wilderness provision when Joshua foresaw the complete shift and new requisite in going into the promised land.
“Joshua told the people, “Ritually consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will perform miraculous deeds among you.””
Fluidity is required and freedom left for God to reframe the new landscape of church. To remove capping and ceilings from our expectations from the last season. To liberate us into a new move.
Our foundation is based upon well established truths which will never change but in turn some come out to be played as a dominant suite in a game and for that season have a weight and priority upon them.
“Therefore, I intend to remind you constantly of these things even though you know them and are well established in the truth that you now have.”
Jesus speaks about the same things at different times and were it not for their context they might seem contradictory.
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword.”
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be distressed or lacking in courage.”
Justice and judgement seem top of the pack right now. A heightened awareness of consequences.
This comes at a time when there seems to be in the natural and in the spiritual conflict and war between nations, politics, industry, economies etc, on every front.
There is more requirement to know our true enemy as we battle on so many fronts where we are becoming battle weary.
Battles against the wrong foe wear us down. Our fight is not with flesh and blood but principalities and powers. We must be aware of satan’s schemes.
“so that we may not be exploited by Satan (for we are not ignorant of his schemes).”
The Lord said He was on neither side and that is our posture too when we know our authority and it comes from God and manifesting His kingdom on earth.
God doesn’t come off His throne to deal with Satan. He deploys an angel it is spiritual warfare. Our power is in Jesus’ name.
Our prayer might be to have opened eyes to see how we align with God, to see our true enemy and to focus on Jesus.
The illustration shows us spiritually unlocking the mindset of Christ to be in the bubble of knowing God’s heart to emanate light to push back the darkness.
